The Atlantic Group & Associates provided surveying and construction stakeout services for this research park centrally on the United States Atlantic Coastline. Wallops Research Park (WRP) is the nation’s newest space and aerospace applied Research Park. This 245-acre site is a cooperative venture involving NASA Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), a Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) facility, Accomack County, Virginia, and the Marine Science Consortium (MSC). The WRP is adjacent to the nation’s oldest space launch facility, the Wallops Flight Facility, which includes the Wallops Island launch complex, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), and the U.S. Navy’s Surface Combat Systems Center. The overall goal of the WRP is to provide a long term environment that attracts and maintains science, technology, and educational endeavors to supplement the core capabilities of WFF, other WFF Partners, and the MSC while contributing to the economic development of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland region.
